Let this be a SEASON of THANKSGIVING where we do not focus on what we don’t have. Let us focus on what we do have.  Let this be a season where we do not focus on what we think God has not done. Let us focus on what He has done.  First Thessalonians 5:18:  “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”    Let's Celebrate Him and give thanks.

He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places and he has promised to provide everything we need on earth. He has given His Son so that we may become the Children of God. He is our all in all and He has given us all of His Kingdom. We give thanks with grateful hearts to the Holy One because He has given Jesus Christ, His Son.

God created humanity for gratitude. We were created for thanksgiving. We exist to give thanks and appreciate God, to praise Him and worship Him.  He created us to honor him by giving him thanks. Appreciating both who God is and thanking Him for everything He has done is the first step toward living our lives totally filled with Holy Spirit Jesus Christ.

The kind of life that flows from such amazing grace is the life of continual thankfulness. This is the kind of life in which we as born-again believers are being continually renewed, transformed and progressively made more like Jesus. And so Paul encourages us live lives characterized by thanksgiving.

Colossians 1:11–12: May you be “strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.”

Colossians 2:6-7:   “as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.”

Colossians 3:15-17   “And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

Ephesians 5:20  “ . . . giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Only in Jesus are we able to become the kind of persistently thankful people God created us to be. Only in Jesus, are we able to fulfill our destiny of thanksgiving. With both feet standing firmly in the good news of Jesus, there are possibilities for living lives of true thanksgiving which we otherwise would never know. And our thanksgiving brings glory to God. We enter His gates with Thanksgiving and His courts with praise. As we give thanks to Him we come into His presence. We give Him glory and we experience His glory.

In this season of the year as we introduce others to Jesus more and more people will give thanks to the Father for giving His Son, Jesus to redeem them and the whole world.  2 Corinthians 4:15  “As grace extends to more and more people it increases thanksgiving, to the glory of God."
